Our Location

Great Eversden is a quiet rural village, with a special unspoilt character, with local walks around the local countryside, which is mainly arable farming with some livestock and woodland. National Trust property Wimpole Hall is just over the hill, about 45 minutes to walk or a short drive. Our local leisure centre is just 10 minutes drive away, in a neighbouring village, with swimming pool, sauna and steam room, gym and golf, plus bar and restaurant. Cambridge is just a short drive away, about 20 minutes direct or to the frequent Park and Ride Bus service, into the city centre, famous for its renowned university and punting on the River Cam, and the origins of Pink Floyd. Royston is about 20 minutes drive away, with a fast train service, about 40 minutes, into central London. The village itself has no shops and no public transport nearby so a car is needed. There is an Indian restaurant with public bar at the end of our road, an Italian restaurant and public house about 5 minutes drive, and many other eating places in neighbouring villages.
