Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

Modern Townhouse, Close to Beach and all that Hobart has to offer.

Introducing

We are a family of four. Wendy and Imogen, both teachers, 19 year old daughter and 15 year old son. We have a lovely home in a peaceful location just outside of Hobart and love to explore other places during our holidays. We have completed several house swaps with some wonderful families and have appreciated their homes as much as they have appreciated ours.

About Our Home

Our home is a small townhouse, in a new development. It is north facing, with views of the River Derwent and close to Kingston Beach. The large main bedroom is upstairs with beautiful ensuite. Two small bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs.

Features

  • Spa/Jacuzzi
  • Washer/Dryer
  • Off-street parking
  • Bikes available
  • TV
  • Car

Our Location

Kingston Beach is located 15 mins drive from Hobart, and is the gateway to the Channel and Huon Valley. Hobart has a great variety of restaurants, cafes, markets and galleries. You can visit Salamanca Market on a Saturday and wander around the stalls set in front of the historic waterfront buildings. The museum that the art world is talking about (MONA) is a lovely ferry ride away from the city centre, as is Peppermint Bay in the other direction. Port Arthur Historic Site is about an hour and half drive and is well worth a visit. Stop in to see the Devil Park on your way or take a small detour to Richmond Village. The area south of Margate consists of the beautiful Huon Valley with Tahune Airwalk, Bruny Island, and many little towns. There are extensive opportunities for bushwalking and photography and some very scenic drives. If you are visiting during January, you might like to attend the Cygnet Folk Festival or the Taste of Tasmania.

Ideal for a couple, or a small family with older children. We have a 2008 VW Golf and are open to discussing the possibility of a car swap as well.
